About Robert

Robert Israel practises criminal and penal law across Quebec. He previously worked at Sidley Austin and McCarthy Tétrault and was a research assistant to Quebec Court of Appeal Justice Joseph Nuss. He co-created the McGill Innocence Project, served as its first student director, and remains its legal advisor. He was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2007 and teaches penal law at McGill.
