About Robert
Robert G. Coates has practised law in Toronto since being called to the Bar of Ontario in 1981. He's certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a specialist in Estates and Trusts Law, covering estate planning, administration and litigation, and he's a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. His family law work includes representing parents in child welfare matters and, at times, the Children's Aid Society, along with divorce, custody and support matters. He also handles real estate transactions and has experience with mental health, consent and capacity issues, including appearances before the Consent and Capacity Board, and he's a member of the Ontario Review Board. His practice extends to basic business law advice, including incorporations, partnership and shareholder agreements.
