Bankruptcy & InsolvencyPaul Layfield has practised corporate and commercial law since 1988, advising on the creation, operation, acquisition, and disposition of businesses, including related tax implications. His commercial practice covers corporate matters, the purchase and sale of businesses, shareholder agreements, business reorganizations, corporate financing, and insolvency matters. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Essex Law Association, and the Canadian Bar Association, and maintains his professional engineering designation. He is a sessional instructor at the University of Windsor's law school, having taught Business Associations in 2018 and 2019 and currently teaching Contracts to first-year students and Contract Drafting to upper-year students.
