R. John Butler, KC, is counsel at Bryan & Company with more than 57 years of experience in business structuring, real estate development, and commercial and residential leasing and financing. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta in 1965 and his LL.B. from the same university in 1968, and was called to the Alberta bar in 1969, receiving King's Counsel in 1989. John has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada and by Lexpert for real estate law, and has held leadership roles with the Edmonton Police Commission, Telus Corporation, and the Edmonton Eskimos Football Club.
