About Preet Pannu

Preet Pannu is a family lawyer and associate at Drake Law who can work with clients in English, Punjabi or Hindi. Preet has more than ten years of experience representing people from Peel Region and the communities around it.

Teaching matters to Preet. At Ontario colleges, Preet instructs and mentors students on their way to becoming legal assistants, law clerks and paralegals. Preet also works as duty counsel in courthouses throughout Ontario, offering advice and help in the courtroom to people who are finding their way through the justice system.

There's a technology side to Preet's experience as well: work in the legal tech sector with artificial intelligence and other new tools, aimed at improving the way people receive legal services. Earlier, Preet spent eight years running a practice of Preet's own. Called to the Ontario bar in 2014, Preet co-founded KPA Lawyers in Mississauga two years later, taking on civil, criminal and real estate files alongside family law. Court was a regular part of that job, in the Superior Court and the Ontario Court of Justice alike, and Preet also acted for clients in disputes and applications before the CRTC. The Law Society of Ontario approved Preet as an articling principal during those years.

Away from work, Preet enjoys time with family and is often cheering on two kids at their many sports and extracurricular activities.
