About Peter

Peter Karsten is a partner who has roots in the Jarvis, Ontario area and graduated from McMaster University with both Bachelor of Arts and Honours Bachelor of Arts degrees. After spending a year teaching English overseas, he obtained his law degree from the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Law and was called to the Manitoba bar in June 2010, then practiced in the litigation department of a large Winnipeg firm. He returned to Southern Ontario and was called to the Ontario bar in June 2011, becoming a partner of the firm in January 2017. Peter's practice centers on civil litigation, including personal injury, insurance defence and employment law, and he has appeared at the Superior Court of Justice and Court of Appeal levels in both Manitoba and Ontario. He has been appointed by the federal Attorney General as a standing agent for the Department of Public Prosecutions.
