About Patrick

Patrick C. Fagan, Q.C., has devoted his career to defending persons charged with criminal offences, with trial experience ranging from shoplifting to million-dollar fraud, common assault to first-degree murder, and impaired driving to criminal negligence causing death. He has appeared before courts in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick, the Northwest Territories, Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He was born in Wells, British Columbia, where his father and grandfather worked in the BC gold mining industry, and at 15 worked laying track for the Pacific Great Eastern Railway in northern BC. He graduated on the Dean's Honor List (Top 10, Class of '88) with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University. He is a full-time member of the Law Society of Alberta and British Columbia and was appointed Queen's Counsel in January 2008.
