Briand founded this Montreal and Quebec City practice in 2004, combining business immigration law with mergers-and-acquisitions work, a pairing the firm says few Quebec lawyers offer together. The immigration side covers work permits, permanent residence, citizenship and family reunification, and the business side covers the purchase, sale and structuring of companies in Quebec, including cases where an immigration applicant acquires an existing business to support a permanent residence application. Briand is a member of the Barreau du Québec, the Canadian Bar Association, AQAADI and IBBA. The Montreal office offers consultations in French, English or Spanish.
