Omar Nassif is a registered Canadian and United States patent agent and a partner in the firm's Intellectual Property Group based in Toronto. He has been a partner at the firm since 1997 and has more than 30 years of experience in patent matters. He has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications domestically and in foreign jurisdictions across biomedical devices, water treatment, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, urethane chemistry, and industrial tailings treatment. He has significant experience in freedom-to-operate opinions, validity opinions, and intellectual property aspects of major business transactions. In 2015, he was recognized by Legal Media Group as the LMG Life Sciences Canadian Patent Non-Contentious Attorney of the Year.
