About Stan

Stan Benda holds a Ph.D. in law and practises agricultural biotechnology and plant law in Toronto, focusing on intellectual property, licensing, and the regulation of genetically modified crops. He spent over a decade with Justice Canada acting for Agriculture Canada's Intellectual Property branch, retiring in 2009, and he now teaches as an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and serves as vice-chair of the Ontario Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Appeal Tribunal.
