About Olivier

Olivier Desjardins founded Desjardins Riverin Avocats and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2013. He began his career as a law clerk-researcher at the Quebec Court of Appeal, where he built relationships with the judiciary and observed leading advocates at work. He then joined a general-practice firm in Quebec City before practicing alongside Jacques Larochelle, a leading Quebec trial lawyer, for four years, handling both criminal and civil files, including a case that reached the Supreme Court of Canada. When Jacques Larochelle gradually stepped back from practice, Olivier Desjardins took over to continue serving individuals and businesses. In September 2020, the Jeune Barreau de Québec awarded him the Prix Louis-Philippe Pigeon, recognizing exceptional contribution through professional or community involvement. His practice focuses on general civil law, criminal and penal law, disciplinary law, and appellate matters.
