About Jean-François

Jean-François Côté co-founded his own firm in 1991 and practised there until Labadie Carrier Guay was created in 2022. Over more than 30 years of practice he built broad general experience, with a particular focus on insurance law and hidden-defects claims, favouring negotiation and conciliation between parties. He earned his LL.B. from Université Laval's Faculty of Law in 1988, holds a diploma in securities, and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1989. Outside the law, he has played lead roles in charity musical theatre productions for the Fondation du Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec and has won several amateur photography competitions.
