About Nicole

Nicole Jakobek is an associate advising employers on a broad range of workplace matters, including wrongful dismissals, human rights complaints, occupational health and safety issues, and the drafting of employment policies and agreements. She also represents employers in labour and employment litigation. Nicole joined Shields O'Donnell MacKillop LLP in 2020 after articling at a well-known criminal defence firm, where she gained trial experience. She completed her law degree at Queen's University in 2019, receiving the Labour Law Award, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2020. Before law school, she completed an undergraduate degree in Global Development, also at Queen's University, and she is bilingual, having studied in French.
