About Nicole

Nicole Miller grew up in Fort Frances and is a member of Couchiching First Nation. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba in 2001 and was called to the bar of Ontario in 2003, and also to the bar of Manitoba in 2004, though she no longer practises there and restricts her practice to Ontario. She has completed training in collaborative family law and continues to develop that area of her practice, and in 2019 she completed a Restorative Justice Certificate from Simon Fraser University. Nicole sits on the legal panel of the Office of the Children's Lawyer, providing legal services on behalf of children through that office. She is active in the community, regularly volunteering with the Fort Frances Girls and Women's Hockey Association, and serves the Rainy River District and surrounding First Nations.
