About Nicole

Nicole Cook is a senior associate at Barriston Law in Barrie, focusing on civil litigation, employment law, and municipal prosecutions. She joined the firm in February 2022 after starting her career as an Assistant Crown Attorney following her call to the bar in July 2020, where she conducted trials and other proceedings in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice. Today she represents both employers and employees in disputes over wrongful termination, human rights, and workplace investigations, and she's a certified workplace investigator. She also represents plaintiffs and defendants in sexual assault and battery claims and handles municipal prosecutions for several municipalities. Nicole earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Ryerson University in 2016 and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019, where she was active in student leadership and mooting.
