About Nicholas

Nicholas Cann is a partner in McKercher LLP's Regina office who chairs the firm's Executive Committee and its Health Law Practice Group. His practice focuses on professional liability defence, insurance defence, and privacy law, representing professionals including physicians, lawyers, and engineers in litigation and regulatory matters. He has provided pro bono legal assistance since 2006 and received the 2022 Victor P. Dietz Pro Bono Service Award. He is recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada, the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, and Chambers and Partners, and is a qualified mediator with the Law Society of Saskatchewan. Nicholas earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of British Columbia in 2000 and a Bachelor of Laws with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2004, and was appointed King's Counsel in 2018.
