About Nicholas

Nicholas Burke joined Lorway MacEachern McLeod Burke in 2016 as an associate after articling with the firm and became a partner in 2020. His practice covers criminal law, insurance and personal injury litigation, civil litigation, and property law, and he has appeared before the Provincial Court, the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, and the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal. Nick previously practiced criminal law with Nova Scotia Legal Aid and is a former Captain with the Canadian Armed Forces. He was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2016, holds a law degree from the University of Kent in England and a B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science from Cape Breton University, and is active on several community boards in the New Waterford and Sydney area.
