About Maria

Maria Rizzetto joined Lorway MacEachern McLeod Burke in 2022 as an associate after a career in public relations, including roles with the QEII Foundation and Halifax Water. Her practice is focused on criminal defence and family law, and she prefers to pursue out-of-court negotiations while remaining a confident litigator when needed. Maria was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2022 and holds a J.D. with a Criminal Justice Certificate from Dalhousie University, a B.A. in English from St. Francis Xavier University, and an Advanced Diploma in Public Relations from the Nova Scotia Community College. She received the Dawn Russell Community Commitment Award upon graduating from law school.
