About Nergiz

Nergiz Sinjari began her career as in-house counsel for one of Canada's largest property and casualty insurers, handling car accident files, occupier liability claims, accident benefit disputes, subrogation, and property damage cases. She has appeared before both the Ontario Superior Court and Small Claims Court. That insurance-side background gave her insight into how insurers approach claims, which she now uses to advocate for her own clients. Sinjari is originally from Windsor and studied at the University of Windsor, earning degrees in political science and philosophy before completing her Juris Doctor in 2017. She joined the Ontario bar in 2018. While in law school, she worked as a caseworker and litigator at the Community Legal Aid Clinic, which serves low-income and vulnerable clients, and she has won awards for legal research and writing.
