About Neil
Neil Abraham has a general public law and civil litigation practice with a particular focus on administrative and constitutional law. Before joining Olthuis van Ert he was with a national firm, and earlier clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada for Chief Justice McLachlin and Justice Martin and at the Federal Court of Appeal for Justice Gleason. He has acted or advised in cases involving the division of powers, human rights, public sector liability and land use planning, including as counsel to interveners in several Supreme Court of Canada appeals, and provided legal support to the Meng Wanzhou extradition defence. Before becoming a lawyer he worked for several years as a senior economist and policy adviser to the federal government. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2017 and the British Columbia bar in 2021, and holds a JD from the University of Toronto, an MPA from Dalhousie University and a BA from Queen's University.
