About Natali
Natali Chizik completed her articles with Johnson Doyle Nelson & Anderson in 2022 and has practiced exclusively in criminal law throughout British Columbia since 2023. She is also a lawyer in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she was called to the bar in 2010, having practiced civil and criminal law there and worked as a private prosecutor alongside the State Prosecutor's Office on human rights and discrimination cases. She graduated with honours from the University of Buenos Aires in 2009, then moved to Canada in 2017 to pursue a Master of Laws at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC, followed by a Common Law Masters to qualify to practice law in Canada. Natali volunteers with the Argentine Institute of Comparative Studies in Criminal and Social Science and has co-authored books and articles on lay participation in the justice system for publishers including Cambridge University Press and the Chicago-Kent Law Review. She speaks Portuguese fluently and is a native Spanish speaker, and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Buenos Aires Bar Association.
