About Monique

Monique McAlister advises communications and digital media clients on broadcasting and digital media regulation, public policy issues, copyright infringement, and foreign ownership limits on cross-border media investments. Her practice also includes CRTC licensing and renewal applications, distribution and affiliation agreements, merger reviews, and e-commerce consumer protection and disclosure matters. She additionally advises on regulatory and compliance issues tied to pension investments. Her recognized areas of focus include communications and telecommunications law, privacy and data protection, technology, and advertising and marketing law, and Best Lawyers in Canada has named her its Communications Law Lawyer of the Year for both 2026 and 2022.
