About Mirnalni

Mirnalni Setia earned her Juris Doctor from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University in 2023, having completed an Honours B.A. at York University majoring in law and society with a minor in political science. Through her practical work before and after law school she gained knowledge of Indigenous law and governance, and she also completed a professional placement at the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. Her articling experience, spent serving clients facing racial, economic, and addiction-related barriers, shaped her passion for criminal defence, and she now works to help clients understand and exercise their rights within the justice system. She is a member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association and the Toronto Lawyers' Association and provides services in English and Hindi.
