About Alaina

Alaina Britney is an associate who completed her J.D. at the University of New Brunswick in 2024, spending part of her studies on exchange at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. During law school she interned at the Human Rights and Freedom Centre's Prison Clinic, gaining hands-on experience navigating civil litigation, administrative law, and criminal law issues. Before law school she earned an Honours B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2020, majoring in sociology and minoring in legal studies, which grounds her understanding of systemic inequality within the justice system. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, with her call to the Ontario Bar expected this spring.
