About Miranda
Miranda Hlady was called to the bar in Yukon Territory in 2012 and has worked almost exclusively in criminal defence throughout her career. She completed a rotation with the Public Prosecution Service of Canada during her articles and has advocated for clients at every level of court in Alberta, including the Court of Appeal, and represented a client as lead counsel on an intervenor application before the Supreme Court of Canada. Miranda has received several community and legal awards, including the 2021 Lethbridge Legal Guidance Lawyer of the Year Award. She serves as Secretary of the Lethbridge Criminal Defence Lawyers' Association, sits on the National Criminal Lawyers' Association Accessibility Committee, and serves on the Legal Aid Alberta Roster Representation Committee.
