About Amina

Amina Younas practises exclusively in criminal defence at White & Jeet Criminal Defence, representing individuals across Alberta at every stage of the criminal justice process. Since relocating to Alberta in 2024, she has focused on defending clients facing criminal charges throughout the province, drawing on an analytical background from prior work in corporate-commercial and securities law in Vancouver. She takes a client-centred approach, emphasizing careful review of disclosure, clear communication, and informed decision-making. Younas earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria, spent time studying international law in Germany, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and German from the University of Manitoba. She was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2022 and the Bar of Alberta in 2024, and speaks German. She is a member of several professional associations, including the Southern Alberta Defence Lawyers' Association, the Canadian Muslim Lawyers' Association, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers.
