About Mike
Mike Preston earned an LL.B. from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008 and a B.Sc. from McGill University in 2001, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2009 (previously admitted in Ontario and Yukon). Preston moved from commercial litigation into Crown prosecution before focusing on appellate work, arguing before courts across several provinces and before the Supreme Court of Canada. Preston is an adjunct professor teaching construction law at the UBC Allard School of Law, a Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers, and has appeared as a legal affairs commentator on CTV for high-profile cases.
