Mike Bronsveld is a litigator in McKenzie Lake's London office who handles a wide spread of civil and commercial disputes. The work covers contract and property fights, defamation claims, employment problems and commercial lease conflicts, along with estate litigation and complex commercial cases.

Bronsveld didn't come to law straight from school. After a Justice Studies degree at the University of Guelph in 2011, the next chapter was at a major Canadian bank, working as a financial advisor and helping individuals and small businesses find creative ways through their money questions. Law school at Western followed, with graduation in 2019 and a call to the bar in 2020. Bronsveld joined McKenzie Lake as an associate in 2021.

That banking background still shapes the approach: Bronsveld puts weight on building a plan around each client's own needs. Bronsveld aims for solutions that are practical and cost effective, fitted to the particular dispute rather than pulled off a shelf, and sees close collaboration with each client as just as important as knowing the law.

Away from work, Bronsveld has sat on the board of directors of a major federal political party and has volunteered with the Ontario Provincial Police. Free time tends to be spent outdoors, especially on the water, and running, skiing and hiking all make the list.
