About Michelle

Michelle Staples is an associate at Isaacs Odinocki LLP, which she joined in 2019 after articling with its predecessor firm, Isaacs & Co. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, with an emphasis on maritime, transportation, and insurance law, and she has been included in The Best Lawyers in Canada for Maritime and Transportation Law since 2025. She has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal, and has experience with eDiscovery platforms including Relativity. Before law school she worked as a Geomatics Analyst, holding a degree in Geomatics and Spatial Analysis. She earned her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2018 and a B.A. Honours from the University of Ottawa in 2012, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.
