About Michael

Michael Milani is a partner at McDougall Gauley LLP in Regina and chairs the firm's Board of Executive Partners, with forty years of practice in commercial and insolvency law. He acts as lead counsel in lending and insolvency matters involving Saskatchewan parties and assets and has appeared before all levels of court in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Michael is a Past President of the Law Society of Saskatchewan and a former President of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, and he chairs the Law Reform Commission of Saskatchewan. He has been repeatedly named Lawyer of the Year in Regina for banking and finance and insolvency and financial restructuring law, and is a Fellow of the Insolvency Institute of Canada and the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. Michael earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 1980 and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 1981.
