About Michael

Mike practises corporate and commercial law, tax law and tax litigation, and Aboriginal business planning, a focus he's held since returning to Thunder Bay after articling in London, Ontario. He graduated from Lakehead University in 1994 with an Honours BA in Philosophy and earned his LLB from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 1997, graduating on the Dean's List. He was called to the bar in February 1999, joined Buset LLP in September 2001, and became a partner in 2006. Mike is a member of the Thunder Bay Law Association, the Canadian Bar Association (Ontario) and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
