About Michael

Michael Ruddy founded Rasmussen Starr Ruddy and has practised labour and employment law for more than four decades, with a focus on the construction sector. Michael regularly appears before the Ontario Labour Relations Board as counsel for management and serves on arbitration panels for union-related disputes involving certification applications, grievance referrals, and unfair labour practice complaints. Michael also advises industry associations including the Ottawa Construction Association and the Electrical Contractors' Association of Ottawa. Michael earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa in 1977 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1979, and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the County of Carleton Law Association.
