About Michael

Michael O'Keefe is an associate at Stewart McKelvey's St. John's office, developing a broad dispute resolution and advisory practice across the public and private sectors. His work includes contract disputes, shareholder disputes, legislative and regulatory compliance, judicial reviews, constitutional challenges, and institutional investigations before Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, and federal courts. A Rhodes Scholar, O'Keefe holds a Master of Public Policy and a Master of Studies in Music from the University of Oxford, a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto (2024), and a Bachelor of Music from Memorial University (2018). He has worked as a musician with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra and on the policy team in the Office of the Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and was called to the bar in Ontario in 2025 and Newfoundland and Labrador in 2026.
