About Michael

Michael Kennedy is the founder of Ingenuity Counsel and a Canadian-born U.S. lawyer with 25 years of experience advising Canadian businesses, investors, and estates on United States legal matters. He is a Foreign Legal Consultant with the Law Society of Ontario and is admitted to practise in California, Michigan, Florida, and Arizona. His work includes designing legal structures for Canadian businesses expanding into the United States, advising on cross border ownership and control, and coordinating immigration strategy with business objectives. He also represents executors and families in U.S. estate matters, including estate tax filings and probate administration for non-resident decedents, and works closely with Canadian advisors to align U.S. and Canadian planning. He founded Ingenuity Counsel in 2012.
