About Michael
Michael C. DeCosimo is a partner in the Corporate and Securities Groups at Gardiner Roberts, practicing corporate and securities law with an emphasis on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, investment funds, private equity, and venture capital. He has acted as issuer's counsel on more than 75 initial public offerings and other public and private financings, together raising over eight billion dollars, and also acts for underwriters and agents in public and private financings. Michael advises companies ranging from start-ups to multinationals and serves as an advisor to senior executives, boards of directors, and independent review committees on transactions, governance, and compliance matters. He earned his HBA from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario in 1992 and his LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 1997, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1999.
