About Michael

Michael Bean is a lawyer and trademark agent registered in both Canada and the United States, with over 30 years of experience in trademark and copyright law. He was the local intellectual property department head and a partner at an international full-service law firm from 1997 to 2013, and before that served as senior legal counsel responsible for the trademarks of a multinational packaged goods company from 1991 to 1997. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto in 1989 and from McGill University with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science in 1986.
