About Melvin

Melvin Crowson, known as Mel, grew up near Vauxhall, Alberta and attended the University of Lethbridge for a year before transferring to the University of Alberta, where he earned a BA in 1989 and an LL.B. in 1993. He was called to the Alberta bar in 1994 after articling with Bryan & Company in Edmonton. He went on to practise personal injury law in Calgary with James H. Brown & Associates and Mangat & Company before joining Braithwaite Boyle in 2001, where he focuses on helping injured clients obtain fair compensation. Outside the firm, he has served as a director for the Okotoks Minor Hockey Association's female program.
