Matthew A J Levine is a Toronto corporate lawyer who advises entrepreneurs, executives, and investors on corporate, commercial, and financing matters. His practice includes corporate formation and shareholder structuring, private company transactions such as acquisitions and reorganizations, commercial arrangements including franchise and supply agreements, private capital raising, and shareholder and director disputes. He began his career in the Vancouver office of a large national law firm, working on public and private company matters. His representative work includes advising a CEO on the sale of an integrated business group to private equity purchasers, representing a co-founder in a construction services company buyout, and achieving a pre-trial settlement recovering 90 percent of claimed damages for an international distributor. Matthew holds a J.D. from the University of British Columbia and an LL.M. in Business Law from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law, where he was a Capital Markets Institute Fellow.
