About Mathieu

Mathieu Godard was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2010 and practises mainly in insurance law, construction law and professional liability. Early in his career he practised on the Côte-Nord and later started his own firm in Montreal before joining Donati Maisonneuve. He comes from a construction-industry family and has himself worked in construction, which he says gives him a practical understanding of his business clients' realities. He acts as legal counsel to two Quebec formwork-contractor associations and represents general and specialized contractors, insurers and liability funds, and emphasizes clear communication in understanding client needs and objectives.
