About Alice

Alice Boivinet practises civil and commercial litigation at Donati Maisonneuve, with a focus on the insurance and construction industries. She represents insurance companies, professionals and businesses in civil courts, often developing creative solutions for complex construction and product-liability disputes, and has experience interpreting insurance policies. Before joining the firm, she spent three years as a legal researcher at the Cour d'appel de Bordeaux in France, then completed her Quebec bar articling and began her career in the insurance department of a regional law firm. She holds a doctorate in law from the Université de Bordeaux and completed further legal studies at the Université de Montréal. She is a frequent conference speaker accredited by the Chambre de l'assurance de dommages du Québec, directs Cheminement Équivalences (an organization supporting internationally trained lawyers practising in Quebec), and has served as a Governor for the next generation of the Fondation du Barreau since 2019.
