About Marrium
Marrium Salim practices litigation at Thompson, Tooze, McLean and Elkin, which she joined in 2021 after articling at a small full-service firm in Burlington, Ontario, where she developed an interest in defence-side work. Her practice covers civil litigation, occupiers' liability, product liability and real estate matters, and she has assisted on files before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court and various administrative tribunals. Marrium studied criminology and law and society at York University before earning her law degree with distinction from the University of Kent, where she competed in mock trials and national negotiation and mediation competitions and volunteered at the Kent Legal Aid Clinic. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2020 and belongs to the Law Society of Ontario, the Toronto Lawyers Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
