About Marla

Marla Miller, K.C. has practiced as a Family Law Mediator for more than 30 years and became one of the founding members of the Association of Collaborative Professionals (Edmonton) in 2001, alongside Pierre Boileau, K.C. and others. Miller is a Registered Collaborative Family Lawyer and a Registered Family Mediator and made an early commitment to give up litigation in favour of settling matters outside of court. Miller has volunteered as an instructor with the Parenting After Separation Course, chaired the Canadian Bar Association Family Law North Section, served on the Board of the Alberta Family Mediation Society, and lectured at the University of Alberta on mediation and collaboration. Miller has also served on the boards of the Matt Cook Foundation, the Good Neighbour Fund, and the City of Edmonton's Naming Committee, and volunteers with the PrayerWorks Community Meal Program.
