About James

James D. Henry graduated from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law in 2018 and practices almost exclusively in family law and child welfare. He articled at a boutique family law firm before joining Huizinga Coles & Layton in the fall of 2021. Earlier in his career he worked for the Metis Nation of Alberta's Intergovernmental Relations Department, negotiating agreements between the Nation and various levels of government. Henry is familiar with alternative dispute resolution options including mediation, arbitration, and Binding JDRs.
