About Mariyam

Mariyam Ali was born and raised in Surrey, BC. She completed her undergraduate degree in economics at the University of British Columbia, followed by a Master of Management Dual Degree at the Sauder School of Business and a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Accounting. She earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Victoria, and during law school volunteered with UVic's chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada and articled at The Law Centre, working on civil litigation, criminal defence, and landlord and tenant matters. Her current practice focuses on litigation, family law, and wills and estates, with a particular interest in negotiation, mediation, and written and oral advocacy.
