About Marie-Luise
Marie-Luise Francis joined Francis Lawyers in 1988 after a career as a French and German language teacher. Her practice focuses on family law, real estate, and wills and estates administration. She represents clients in both contested and uncontested divorce and separation proceedings, advising on custody and access, support, and equalization of family property, and she prepares marriage, cohabitation, and separation agreements. In her wills and estates practice she has extensive experience preparing testamentary trusts, including Henson Trusts for beneficiaries with disabilities, and she also handles residential real estate transactions. Marie holds a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Languages and Literature from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, and she offers her services in English, French, and German.
