About Marie-Claude

Marie-Claude St-Amant has been a member of the Barreau since 2006, having earned her law degree from Université Laval. She has developed particular expertise in constitutional challenges to legislative and regulatory provisions, having had provisions of the Code de la sécurité routière and a City of Montreal bylaw struck down for violating freedom of association and expression, and she also practises in administrative law, professional and disciplinary law, class actions, and animal law. A founding member of the Association des juristes progressistes, she regularly appears before administrative tribunals, the Superior Court, and the Court of Appeal, drafts legal opinions, and provides training.
