About Denis
Denis Lavoie is a graduate in industrial relations and law from the Université de Montréal and also holds a certificate in economics. He practises primarily in labour, administrative, and disciplinary law and, as a partner at the firm, specializes in grievance arbitration, individual labour law, occupational health and safety, and entertainment law. In winter 2014 he successfully argued the Dionne case before the Supreme Court of Canada, concerning the equality rights of precariously employed workers, and he has contributed to and now chairs the committee that prepared the Barreau de Montréal's guide to best practices in grievance arbitration, having also served as vice-president of the Canadian Bar Association's Quebec labour law section.
