About Marc

Simard was born and raised in Northern Ontario and developed an interest in law at a young age, working as a summer student in the evidence room of the Sudbury Regional Police and volunteering with the regional Probation Office. Simard completed an undergraduate degree at Laurentian University and graduated from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, before being called to the Ontario Bar in 1994. Simard opened a law practice in Rockland in 1996 and has since built an extensive career as a barrister and solicitor, appearing before all levels of the Ontario courts, including the Court of Appeal, and closing thousands of residential and commercial real estate transactions. Simard's practice focuses on business law, wills and estates, and real estate; Simard is fluently bilingual and a citizen of the Metis Nation of Ontario. Simard is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario, the County of Carleton Law Association, and the Prescott Russell Law Association.
