About Lisa

Lisa Handfield is the founder and senior lawyer at The Calgary Legal Team. She holds CPA, CGA, LL.B, LL.M, and TEP designations, combining more than a decade of legal practice with a background in accounting and taxation. Before founding the firm, she worked as a Senior Advisor and Trust Officer at National Bank of Canada, as an Appeals Officer and Auditor at the Canada Revenue Agency, and as an associate at Moodys LLP Tax Advisors and Deloitte Tax Law LLP, and served as a law clerk at the Tax Court of Canada. She has also worked as a sessional instructor in taxation and estate planning and as a subject matter expert on trust law for the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
