About Lisa

Lisa C. Herman was called to the Bar in 1988 after earning her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor; she also holds a Bachelor of Psychology from York University. She has practiced family law for approximately 30 years, handling divorce, parenting and access, child and spousal support, property equalization, independent legal advice, and domestic contracts including separation agreements, marriage contracts, and cohabitation agreements. Herman resolves matters through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration where possible and litigates when necessary. She also practices fertility law, negotiating agreements to protect the rights of intended parents, egg, embryo, and sperm donors, gestational carriers, and surrogate mothers, and has recently expanded her practice to represent claimants seeking restitution for Nazi-looted art and property from the Holocaust.
